Open Buffalo is proud to present “Involved, Informed, Invincible!” an evening of music, dance, and activism, featuring leaders from the Young Invincibles and local performers on Wednesday, August 7, in Asbury hall on Delaware avenue.
Young Invincibles is a national organization committed to mobilizing and expanding opportunities for young Americans between 18 and 34 years of age on issues like higher education, health care, and jobs. Aaron Smith, Co-founder and Executive Director and Jasmine Hicks, State Outreach Coordinator of Young Invincibles will be presenting tools to engage in Buffalo's civic structure in their talk "The Power of Our Generation: Tools to open Buffalo."
Complementing the discussion about youth civic engagement, a number of local performers have stepped up to join the effort in #becomingthechange for Buffalo. Some the artists include: Inspirational Soul and Hip-hop singer Drea D'Nur will be joined by rapper Quadir Lateef and the Verve Dance Studio will present a dance workshop followed by an interactive performance. A final list of performers will be announced soon.
