On Wednesday, January 24th at 6:30pm at the Moot Center (292 High Street, Buffalo), the Community First Alliance will co-host a screening of Shift Change: Putting Democracy to Work with Cooperation Buffalo. It will be a chance to hear about the progress of the F.B. Community Land Trust as well as discuss the potential for worker cooperatives and a sustainable community controlled economy in the Fruit Belt, the East Side, and beyond.

About the film:

At a time when many are disillusioned with big banks and big business, and growing inequity in our country, employee ownership offers a real solution for workers and communities. Shift Change highlights worker-owned enterprises in North America and in Mondragon, Spain. The film premiered in 2012 declared by the U.N. as the “International Year of the Cooperative.”
