From Extinction Rebellion Buffalo:

Join us Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 1PM at Bidwell and Elmwood as we come together for an interactive demonstration and march. *We plan to march from Bidwell at 1:30*

Our demo will be a funeral to mourn the species already extinct with words, song, dance and more.. Then we'll march to celebrate the life we can regenerate and to make our presence known here in Buffalo.

We have come to a climate emergency. The latest science says we have 12 years or less to make drastic changes to avert catastrophe. Embedded in the word emergency is "emergence". This is the opportunity for something beautiful and new to break through the crust of the old. We have a chance to transform everything to create a more beautiful, free and just world. This will take great courage and bold action. The time is now.

Over the last 3 months, Extinction Rebellion has established groups in over 35 countries, and 30 US cities. On January 26th, Rebellion Day 1: Declare Climate Truth!" we'll use this massive momentum for a day of action that will create disruption, spread the word, and recruit. We're just getting started, so these actions are building the base. But we're facing extinction, so we know that nothing short of mass mobilization will save us.
