What: The Unsung Heroes Show
Where: John B. Wiley Sports Pavilion (1100 Jefferson Ave.)
When: Saturday, February 19th, 12- 3 pm
Youth from grades K-12 will learn about lesser-known unsung heros from Black History and present day so that they may choose their favorite and dress up like them in a fashion show! There will be performances, artwork, photography, and vending all done by our youth. The deadline to sign up for the fashion portion of the show is Thursday January 31st by 4:00 p.m. All other participants will have no later than 1 week prior to the show to make their contributions if they wish to be involved. The purpose of this event is to educate, enlighten, entertain, and celebrate in honor of our youth for they are the future, and we need way more hero's. Let's make history by learning our own.
