Albany Day of Action: Marijuana Justice & Equity in New York!

Now that, marijuana legalization in New York State is imminent, we must demand that its impact on our communities is equitable. Please join us on March 27th  for a day of action in Albany to advocate for marijuana justice.
 
There are now multiple proposals to legalize marijuana in New York on the table. Join us to tell Gov Cuomo that legalization has to reflect the priorities of racial, social, and economic justice in efforts to repair the significant harms to people of color under prohibition. To address the lasting damages and create new opportunities for impacted communities, the Governor and Legislature MUST pass a legalization bill that:
 

• Includes broad record clearing provisions and addresses the negative impacts in housing, immigration, and child welfare
• Centers equity and diversity in the industry
• Guarantees significant community reinvestment to repair the harm that has been done by criminalization
