Just Buffalo Literary Center Presents Worker Writers -- Poetry Workshops + The Global Working Class
The Worker Writers School, in collaboration with PEN America and the Western New York Council on Occupational Safety and Health, seeks several workers to join a free creative writing class focused on the lives and stories of low-wage workers. No previous experience is required.
Workshop participants will have the opportunity to work with poet Mark Nowak and present their work at a public event at Just Buffalo Literary Center.

Sunday, Sept. 24

5:00pm: Reading (open to the public) at Just Buffalo Literary Center (468 Washington St., 2nd Floor)
Mark Nowak, a 2010 Guggenheim fellow, is the author of Coal Mountain Elementary (Coffee House Press, 2009) and Shut Up Shut Down (Coffee House Press, 2004), a New York Times "Editor's Choice." A native of Buffalo, he currently directs the MFA program at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY.
