Climbing PoeTree: Live in Buffalo!

Open Buffalo is bringing back Climbing PoeTree for our third year running!

Please join us on Saturday October 6th, 7 to 9 PM at the Matt Urban Center (1081 Broadway, Buffalo) for this FREE PERFORMANCE of dual-voice spoken word, backed with infectious beats and multimedia theater. 

Alixa Garcia and Naima Penniman form the award-winning duo, exploring diverse themes such as healing from state and personal violence, human rights, and racial/social/economic justice. As artists and activists, they infuse our movements for justice with healing and imagination. 

Thanks to the generosity of the Oishei Foundation, this event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC—all are welcome! Light refreshments will be provided for your enjoyment.
