Chuck Collins was once an heir to the Oscar Mayer fortune who gave away his inheritance at 26 and spent the next three decades mobilizing against inequality.

Born into the one percent, he uses his perspective to deliver a new narrative, inviting the wealthy to come back home and to invest their wealth in struggling communities. Stories told along the way explore the roots of advantage, how taxpayers subsidize the affluent, and how charity, used incorrectly, can actually reinforce extreme inequality. His solutions also respond to climate change and how communities can make a healthy transition to a sustainable new economy.

With the heart of an agitator and the soul of a storyteller, Chuck is a senior scholar at the Institute for Policy Studies and is the cofounder of Patriotic Millionaires. You won’t want to miss his case for tackling inequality, bringing wealth home, and committing to the Common Good.
