From our friends at the Coalition for Economic Justice and the Western New York Area Labor Federation:
As a revitalization is occurring in Buffalo and WNY we have seen large swaths of the community left out of this revitalization because they can’t get to work, healthcare appointments, school or family commitments because the NFTA isn’t serving its riders as well as it should. Join Joe Uehlein and Micheal Leon Guerrero from the Labor Network for Sustainability out of Washington DC for a training on how we can make a better public transit system here in WNY. We will create a solid campaign plan, identify participants’ self-interest, and move participants to action around creating an NFTA that works for those who need it most. We will give participants concrete skills on how to engage with members around this issue and activate them to engage in the important work of making a better NFTA.
This is a labor/member only training so if you are a member of CEJ Buffalo or leader or member within a union please sign up to attend this important training here.
