From our friends at PUSH Buffalo:
Come learn about these complex topics through simple terms and your own lived experiences. Think climate change doesn't affect you? We dare you to look again.
The reality is people of color often don't know enough about how systemic structures are placed upon us, especially when talking about the environment. This lack of knowledge is not your fault, it is purposeful, because once you see how much more you're getting screwed than what you thought, you can't ever go back to thinking like you did before.
No one should ever get sick because of where we live, learn, work, play and pray, but the realities is poor people and people of color have limited choices that then place our lives and health in jeopardy.
Check out a workshop, learn how this affects you, and (perhaps) share your experiences with other community members as we learn the best practices toward a world that is more just for ALL, not just a few.
No commitment other than showing up required :)
Food & Drinks Provided.
