Girls Who Code
November 6th–December 18th | Wednesdays 4–6 pm
@ Squeaky Wheel 617 Main Street Buffalo, NY
Girls Who Code is a national organization with a mission to close the gender gap in computer science. Our 6th-12th-grade club encourages participants to impact our community in a positive way through code. In order to build the skills needed to make an impact, you will learn how to code from fun online tutorials and activities that will help you build animations, games, apps, and other things that you dream up! We have tutorials in Scratch, Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and a block-based app development language called Thunkable. Participants will have the opportunity to meet women working in computer sciences, exclusive access to apply to internships, and priority in applying for the Summer Intensive where girls get the opportunity to work for big tech companies like AT&T, 100% free for each workshop participant.
