Since moving to Buffalo in 2016, Cheney Brockington, LMSW, has continued to advocate for systemic change both in and outside of her professional space. Her current area of focus is forensic social work, a profession working to assess and eradicate systemic barriers for individuals formerly and/or currently involved in the justice system. She is currently employed as a mental health clinician, providing clinical services to members of the Buffalo community.
As a 2021 Justice Fellow, Brockington’s primary goal is to bring the community together to seek justice for the most vulnerable populations of Western New York.
Brockington also currently serves as a board member of the WNY Peace Center, is a current member of Citizen Action of New York, and a member of Buffalo Urban League Young Professionals.
