Emerging Leaders Class of 2015

Patricia is currently the Assistant Director for the Community Action Organization of Erie County, Inc., and runs the Alphonso "Rafi" Greene, Jr. Masten Resource Center. Through the Emerging Leaders program, she is seeking guidance on how to create partnerships among different organizations to address common goals. She wants to learn how to effectively conduct assessments of community needs and resources while analyzing personal and environmental factors that influence the problems to be addressed. Another of Patricia's goals is to learn to develop a picture of the pathway from activities to intended outcomes, creating a vision, mission, objectives, strategies, and action plans for the efforts. Increasing participation of stakeholders in change efforts and enhancing cultural competence in community efforts are also important to Patricia. She wants to help formulate advocacy efforts, bringing about policy change in organizations and communities.
