Emerging Leaders Class of 2016

Galia Binder is a Master’s in Fine Arts Candidate in the University at Buffalo’s Department of Media Study. She is a multi-disciplinary social practice artist, journalist, and creative consultant. Binder works at the intersection of arts, activism, social work, law, and place-making to co-create a racially and socioeconomically just city through collaborative projects. She is interested in storytelling, empathic healing through community ritual, and the celebration of what is powerful in our daily lived experiences.
