Antonio Regulier is a public servant who believes in the power of communication to solve societal issues; it starts with a conversation. Searching to fill the gap in government and the social justice movement, Regulier’s transformative worldview motivated his decision to join the Emerging Leaders family. He arrived in Buffalo in 2015, but is a seven-year resident of Western New York. He has research interest in culture and identity, mental health, and arts integration for social change. One of nine children, he immigrated from Haiti to the United States. He earned concurrent degrees and five minors from SUNY Fredonia and is a Graduate Diversity Fellow pursing a Master of Public Administration at Buffalo State. Regulier was a 2016 Finalist for the White House Internship Program under then-President Barack Obama and serves as an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader on Project M.O.V.E. (Mobilizing Opportunities for Volunteer Experience) Buffalo in City Hall. He believes “serving others is how you shatter negative perceptions.”
