Emerging Leaders Class of 2017

Elizabeth Minns is a native of Buffalo. She has always had passion for education. After graduating from the public school system, she continued her studies at Daemen College, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and later her Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Medaille College.

Minns is a firm believer that every student is worthy of a quality education. Her eagerness to guide students in their pursuit of academic excellence led her to serve as a Family Support Specialist through Say Yes Buffalo. She recognizes appropriate supports will allow students to become college- and career-ready.

Through her involvement with the Emerging Leaders program, Minns has developed partnerships and connections to better service the community. She is driven by the goal of creating opportunities of advancement and working with a team of diligent and dedicated professionals who are sensitive and supportive to the needs of all children and families.
