Emerging Leaders Class of 2017

Orlando Dickson is a permanent transplant to Buffalo who was Born in Chicago and raised In Las Vegas. He is a father first, a retired nine-Year Army Veteran, and a second-year law school student. His leadership style is to listen first to his colleagues and then make decisions efficiently. He prides himself on being fair, impartial, and leading by example. Dickson wants to be an effective leader, a leader who gets things done (things that matter to the people).

Said Dickson: “What I got out of the Emerging Leaders program was a team of amazing people to help in the journey to make Buffalo a beacon of equality, peace and prosperity. I learned valuable skills that will help me become not only an effective organizer, but a better person within the movement. Best of all, I learned how to respect different perspectives and lead in a new way. I am extremely proud to be a 2017 Emerging Leader.”
