Temara Cross is a sophomore at the University at Buffalo studying Biomedical Sciences and Public Health with the intent to become a physician and launch a health facility in Buffalo’s east side. She is currently a peer mentor and an undergraduate researcher at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her goal is to mitigate the distrust between black people and the medical industry, as well as establish meaningful relationships with others so that they may collectively improve the world. With the Emerging Leaders Program, she hopes to learn how to effectively approach social and economic injustices, followed by proper execution of actions.
