Emerging Leaders Class of 2020

Aqeelah-Jihaada Thompson was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and graduated from the College of the Holy Cross, where she majored in Psychology and developed a deep interest in Sociology. She is currently working in community outreach on the COVID-19 Community Response Project, which is reaching out to the members of the community of Buffalo, looking to find those in need and help them have access to resources and services such as food, testing, primary care and mental health services.
