Since moving to Buffalo in 2016, Cheney Brockington, MSW, has continued to advocate for systemic change inside and outside of her professional space. Her current area of interest is forensic social work, a profession working to identify and challenge systemic barriers for individuals formerly and/or currently involved in the justice system. She is currently employed as a mental health clinician, providing clinical intervention to adults within the Bailey-Kensington community. Brockington currently serves on the board of the WNY Peace Center, and is a current member of Citizen Action of New York and the Buffalo Urban League Young Professionals. She hopes to bring individuals together to create solutions that assist vulnerable populations within the Western New York community.
