Emerging Leaders Class of 2020

Chrissy Calixte has committed the past 10 years to working within various areas of mental health. Calixte completed her undergraduate studies at Buffalo State College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Criminal Justice. Shortly after, she attended Canisius College where she earned a Master’s Degree of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. 

From working with families and children and mental health staff, including assisting with preventive programs, Chrissy has experienced the comforting effect of being able to provide services to clients while also becoming a voice for the voiceless. Although this is the beginning of a journey into becoming an advocate in the field of mental health, Chrissy is dedicated to change and takes pride in her work.
