Emerging Leaders Class of 2020

Jelicia Jimenez is a Library and Media Specialist with a special interest in children’s literature. She has a BA in Secondary English Education, and is a MS candidate at University at Buffalo for Library and Information Sciences. With her passion for education and research, Jelicia wants to become a radical librarian and change the way literature and media are presented to students. Jelicia participated in Open Buffalo’s Justice Leadership Institute in 2019, and was inspired to continue on to the Emerging Leaders program to continue meeting and working with folks that are excited to make an impact in our communities.
