TaShanna Petty is the Executive Secretary to the first Woman and African-American Comptroller for the City of Buffalo. She is a graduate of Bryant and Stratton College with a Major in Information Technology. TaShanna graduated with honors and will be continuing her education in January 2022, majoring in Engineering. Proud to be a part of a wonderful team that demonstrates true professionalism, TaShanna has grown over the years into a focused and determined businesswoman.
A fashionista at heart, she has spent over 10 years working in the fashion industry and still assists with prestigious fashion shows in her spare time. Her future goals are to move up the ranks within the city government and work with inner city youth to stop the school to prison pipeline.
In addition to her passion for the youth, TaShanna also has a vision in ways to stop violence against the LGBTQ community. She believes in equality for all and will fight for what she believes in. Her most recent accomplishment was collaborating with a local designer on a project that graced the runway in London Fashion Week.
Tashanna's favorite sayings are “With God, all things are possible” and “God has a bigger plan for me than I have for myself.” Those are words that she often reflects on to keep focused and strive to be a better woman.
