Aiyana Jacy Martin an Afro-Indigenous, 23-year-old model, activist, and student. She is Mohawk, Turtle Clan from the Six Nations of the Grand River in Ohsweken, Ontario in Canada. She will be attending Buffalo State University in the Spring of 2024 to study Africana and Indigenous Studies. As an advocate for MMIWG2S she has been a guest speaker on WBNY 91.3 Radio, 716 Live Podcast Talia Talks and was also a featured speaker for the WNY Peace Women March in 2023. Her advocacy work will be highlighted in an upcoming feature article in the local “Young and Ambitious” magazine. Aiyana uses modeling and fashion to help reclaim Indigenous visibility and hopes to continue to be a voice for her people. This October she will be competing for her second year in the Miss Buffalo Scholarship Competition and continue to use her platform to raise awareness on the MMIWG2S crisis.
