Open Buffalo's Youth Action program grooms leaders, and advances policies and practices that will eliminate poverty and create healthy communities and robust opportunities for young people.
Youth Action organizes young adults across the City of Buffalo to take initiative toward the growth and development (personal, professional, communal) required to create a more just and equal society. Through the uplifting of youth voices collectively, we will increase possibilities and shift away from the misrepresentation that is rooted in poverty, racial exclusion, and other forms of oppression.
Get trained in leadership, advocacy, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, research and analysis, and community healing programs such as restorative justice.
Weekly Youth Action meetings occur on Sundays from 1:00pm - 3:30pm.

Do you feel heard and listened to at school, at home, or in your community? Do you feel like you have the power to influence decisions that affect your life? Do the opportunities available to you meet your needs? If you said no to any of these questions, you are not alone, and it is time to change that. You CAN make your voice heard. We CAN create change if we work together. Join Open Buffalo this Fall for our next "Level Up Series," where you will learn community organizing, build relationships, develop ideas and strategies, and take your leadership to the next level.
