Last night was the first Advisory Board meeting for Open Buffalo. The members of the Advisory Board discussed the development of the proposal and shared insights with the Open Buffalo staff.
Afterwards, staff members and board members alike filled out “Open When” cards. These cards ask the writer to complete the sentence “Buffalo will be open when…” and add a thumbprint to signify their hands too, are involved in opening the city. Each member wrote their name and then pressed their thumb onto the half-sheet card, then hung them along the wall.
Throughout the summer, as part of their presence at events, Open Buffalo will have “Open When” cards available for all residents to fill out, and share their input and insights on when Buffalo will be considered open.
Once completed, these cards are uploaded to Open Buffalo’s Flickr page for the public to see, comment on, and add their own insights throughout the summer. Take a look at what the Advisory Board thinks it will take to open Buffalo.
