Angie Estevez Prada
Originally from Colombia, Angie immigrated to rural North Carolina at the age of 5. Currently a rising senior in the Cornell Industrial and Labor Relations School, with minors in Inequality Studies, Latino Studies, and Law & Society, Angie studies the prevailing disparities in America. In particular, her interests lie with inequalities at
work and in education, and the effect these inequalities have on women and minorities.
While at Cornell, Angie has been involved with several social justice organizations, including being the President and Head Facilitator for The F-Word, a feminist organization on Cornell's campus. In the past year, she has worked as a research assistant for the ILR Yang Tan Institute on Employment and Disabilities, visited European Parliament, and lobbied on Capitol Hill for financial aid. Upon graduation she hopes to pursue a graduate degree in Sociology.
