Open Buffalo staff, partners and friends in attendance for Bourbon at the Border.
Open Buffalo staff, partners, and friends took in one of the closing performances of Ujima
Theatre Company's production of Bourbon at the Border on Thursday, Oct. 9. The cast put on a stirring
display of Pearl Cleage's provocative 1997 work.
With the beauty, the brutality, and the echoes of the 1960s struggle for voting rights revived in living
color before them, every Open Buffalo team member in attendance left inspired in their pursuit of
social justice.
Bravo to a small but mighty cast -- Roosevelt Tidwell, Shanntina Moore, Hugh Davis, and Candace Whitfield -- and Director Willie Judson. Thanks to Ujima for welcoming Open Buffalo, and, more importantly, for bringing challenging theater before local audiences, year after year.
