Youth Action!

Join this expansive movement to build opportunities, break down obstacles, and create a better you!

Membership valid for applicants aged 16-24.

Youth Action is a newly formed Community Action Team, in connection with Open Buffalo's partnership with the national organization Opportunity Youth United (OYUnited), a movement of young leaders and adult allies to increase the public will to end poverty and injustice in America.

The overall vision is to mobilize Opportunity Youth locally to build a dynamic grassroots movement that will effectively communicate and achieve implementation of our "Recommendations to Increase Opportunity and Decrease Poverty in America." The goal is to improve the policies and conditions affecting all young people who live in low-income communities, with a short-term focus on creating opportunities for at least one million young people each year to reconnect with education, employment, national service, mentors, internships, leadership development, and civic engagement.
