Do you want to help end poverty in Buffalo? Develop valuable nonprofit skills and experiences? Give back to the community? If so, consider applying for Open Buffalo's 2019-20 NYIC VISTA position today!
NYIC VISTAs are AmeriCorps VISTAs who -- through the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) -- engage in a year of full-time paraprofessional service at a host organization, where they work on capacity-building projects that support their host in being able to carry out immigrant-focused anti-poverty programs and services.
The selected Open Buffalo NYIC VISTA will:
- be active from December 9, 2019, to December 7, 2020
- be based in Open Buffalo's headquarters in the City of Buffalo, N.Y.
- work on community outreach/education and fundraising projects
- provide additional support for Open Buffalo program areas including: leadership development programming; economic opportunity; and the integration of art and social justice.
