A scene from "A Mountain of History."
Two vibrant new pieces of Buffalo youth artwork demand your attention. Embedded below, you will find “A Mountain of History” and “TV Head,” video pieces created by young Queen City residents.
The first video is a work produced by students in the Buffalo Youth Media Institute (a unique collaboration between our partners at Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Art Center and the Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology), and visually conveys the history of the illustrious Colored Musicians Club of Buffalo. “TV Head,” meanwhile, is a short video collage created by a student in Squeaky’s Tech Arts for Girls program.
If you are, or know, a young person who is interested in exploring video art and filmmaking through one of these programs, please contact kevin@squeaky.org to find out how to enroll.
