N.Y. Governor Andrew Cuomo made a March 2015 stop in Buffalo to call for an increase in the state's minimum wage.
In case you missed it:
In a Nov. 22 opinion piece, essayists Fred Floss and Sam Magavern explained the wisdom of gradually increasing New York state's minimum wage to $15. Floss is chairman and a professor in the Department of Economics and Finance at SUNY Buffalo State, while Magavern is co-director of the Partnership for the Public Good and an Open Buffalo partner. With a reasoned, analytical approach, Floss and Magavern also debunked the common, regressive arguments against raising our state's wage floor.
The essay, titled "Raising the minimum wage is good economics" appeared as an Another Voice piece in the Buffalo News. Read it here.
