This year our all-star support team for Getting out the Vote (GOTV) paved a foundation for future years! We saw how much our communities were interested in this year’s Buffalo Common Council race, so we focused our attention on their experiences while voting for council races.
Before the General Election, we made over 14,000 phone calls to folks across Erie and Niagara Counties. After the election, we sent out over 95,000 text messages to assess how the community’s experience was going out to vote.
These all-stars effectively communicated with thousands of their peers. Open Buffalo had several returned calls from individuals wanting to hear about our voter support initiative. They truly embody what it means to be “in community.”
