The Clean Mobility project seeks to engage residents to better understand the ecological, racial, and economic disparities that exist within transportation in WNY.
In Buffalo, 28% of households do not have a personal vehicle, and 58% of those households are from our Black population. Improved transit access that produces less harmful emissions is in demand for our East Side Buffalonians and you can help us create solutions.
The Neighborhood Leadership Group (NLG) is a team of community members committed to a 2.5-year stipend position, focused on serving East Side neighborhoods. The NLG is responsible for community engagement, information sharing, and developing clean mobility initiatives that center on principles of a Just Transition. The NLG will participate in a series of biweekly workshops, community-led events, education campaigns, and working groups.
