Open Buffalo is proud to announce that it has gained support of the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute (NYS2PI) to launch the Rooted in Buffalo Sustainability Project (RBSP). Through this pilot project, which will be run in partnership with BFLO Worm Works, a number of local residents will receive intensive education and user-friendly materials to start composting at their homes. RBSP will also establish community composting hubs that will support local residents who are interested in composting. RBSP was designed as a food waste diversion program to prevent pollution, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and help our friends and neighbors develop healthier relationships with the natural world.
Stay tuned for updates about RBSP.
