Felicia C. Ali was born at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo and grew up in the City of Lackawanna. Felicia graduated from Erie Community College in 2006 with an Associate in Arts, Liberal Arts and Science-Humanities and Social Science and went on to graduate from Buffalo State College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
Immediately following her academic career, Felicia volunteered on several Grassroots Campaigns. In 2011 Felicia interned at the Ellicott District Common Council office in the City of Buffalo. While interning there, she also interned during the evenings at the YNN newsroom.
Staying true to her love of the Arts and Communication, Felicia worked in Multimedia and Broadcasting in front of and behind the camera. She learned how to create programming, marketing, advertising, promotion and sales at WKBW TV.
In 2011 Felicia began co-hosting two radio shows, Power to the People and Say it Loud, on Buffalo’s WUFO 1080.
Felicia received the Rising Star award from Grassroots and was a recipient of The 30 Under 30 award.
Felicia’s career in local government furthered as she moved from intern to Legislative Aide to Legislative Assistant on to Chief of Staff within the Ellicott District Common Council office in a four-year timeline. She was also head Public Relations Specialist on the Watkins Campaign for mayor in Lackawanna, NY. And has volunteered on over a dozen state and local campaigns.
Felicia has been a faithful member of True Bethel Baptist church for over a decade, where she met and married her husband, Shareef Ali II, and is the proud and dedicated mother of three: Shareef Ali III, Sia Christina, and Saj.
