Mignon Otis is a Buffalo native who grew up in the Central Park Plaza and Bailey/Delavan areas as a teen. She entered the workforce in 2001 when she accepted a full-time job with the Canadian Consulate General, after spending a brief moment at Niagara University. When the Canadian Consulate closed their Buffalo location in 2012, Mignon decided to work in the nonprofit world, where she has supported CEOs and Executive Directors from day one. This is where she has remained for the past 12 years. She has always wanted to work with a purpose and has been very deliberate at choosing organizations that have made impacts in people's lives.
As the Executive Operations Specialist, Mignon supports Executive Director Franchelle Parker and other executives in planning and executing various events and initiatives.
In her spare time, Mignon loves to cook. So much so that she went back to school to receive her culinary arts degree from the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute in 2022. She is passionate about working with children and families to help create a bond over cooking food together. Mignon is a mother to her 12-year-old daughter and 14-year-old son.
